Indian benchmark indices erased previou session losses and ended lower with Nifty around 22,000.
Biigest losers on the Nifty included BPCL, M&M, Hero MotoCorp, Coal India and ONGC, while gainers were Bharti Airtel, UPL, ITC, HDFC Life and Britannia Industries.
Except Telecom, all other sectoral indices ended in the red with oil & gas down 4 percent, while auto, capital goods, metal and power down 1-2 percent each.
BSE Midcap index down 0.5 percent, while Smallcap index ended on a positive note.
