Indian indices opened on a positive note on December 22 with Nifty around 21,300.
The Sensex was up 18.36 points or 0.03 percent at 70,883.46, and the Nifty was up 16.30 points or 0.08 percent at 21,271.30. About 1679 shares advanced, 359 shares declined, and 88 shares unchanged.
Adani Ports, LTIMindtree, Hindalco Industries, HCL Technologies, Adani Enterprises were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were M&M, ICICI Bank, Infosys, L&T and Reliance Industries.
