The EUR/USD pair is advancing strongly in the Asian session as the US dollar index (DXY) is displaying a subdued performance ahead of the interest rate decision by the Federal Reserve (Fed).
Gold prices retreated mildly on Tuesday on the back of a strong dollar. However, the yellow metal was range bound as investors refrained from making big bets over Fed’s meet outcome.

Oil prices fell on Tuesday, taking a breather after surging more than $5 a barrel in the previous session as a plunging dollar supported buying interest and on expectations the US Federal Reserve’s interest rate hike may be less than thought.
